There is or was a how-2 on here but I was still a wee bit unsure of how to remove those blue clips myself! so much so I am going to ask the dealer to do mine for me next month.

I am sure someone will be along who will explain and me me feel a bit dum for not figuring it out as well mate

It's just a retaining spring clip mechanism - a bit like a one way clip sort of thing.

Look closely and you will see 2 blue lugs that engage in shaped holes, so that the pipe locks in place.

The lugs both have to be depressed whilst pulling the pipe out. There is probably a VX tool to do this in seconds. You can use a couple of flat bladed screwdrivers - I used eating knives as my weapon of choice

The first time you do it, it's a bit fiddly, as you get one lug pressed in, then the other pops back on the other side. You feel you need a third hand for the job (Ooo-er). I got quite adept at it, whilst trying to sort out my fuel leak / air leak probs!!

Be very gentle with it - especially the hose connectors and the part on the filter housing they connect into as they can easily be damaged and you need to replace the whole housing which ain't cheap. The main housing body and screw top aren't that strong either so be careful
