Default Shockers or Suspension on the way out?

    Hi all

i have noticed recently that whenever i go over a bump in the road or a very shallow pot hole i am felling a lot more vibration in the steering and it does shake left to right quite a lot

When the car was last up on a ramp the guy in the garage said that the shocker on the front right was leaking (leftside wasnt checked), could this be the cause of the vibrations?

if so can anyone recommend which ones to get, bearing in mind i do a lot of motorway driving?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Vehicle : Vectra and a Signum

Trim : top of the line in both

    Engine : Z18XE,Z19DTH,Z20NET

i would replace the lot with something like Bilstein B4.. cheaper but way better than the GM shocks.. It would be worth replaceing your droplinks while your at it as they are quite cheap.

Are you still running on the factory springs as well?

The droplinks were changed at the last MOT when the pads, discs and callipers were replaces.

I bought the car last year from arnold sharks so not sure if they were changed before me buying it.

How much would it cost for the B4's?

    cheers

i would, well i did actually. I put those shocks on and a set of Eibach springs, they are also cheaper than vauxhall and yet better. It will also lower you car by 30mm.. The ride will be a little harder but the car will handle much better..

LMF sell the springs as well

many members on here use this combination for their suspension..

Again thanks for all the info.

i have been looking on different sites for springs and all i can find is springs that lower your car by up to 30mm, which i dont want to do.

Can you springs that dont lower your car?
