Question 2004 2.0 dti vecta c not starting.

    Help!

I ran out of fuel last friday on my way to work, luckily in the works car park. I topped up with diesel and used hand primer and bled each fuel line to the injectors while turning the engine over. The car refuses to start, not even a fire from any cylinder.
I put op-com read codes saved them. Cleared all codes and turned it over and read error codes again. Here are the codes.

    P1565 - <Unknown DTC>
    (72) - Not present

    P0650 - <Unknown DTC>
    (04) - Not present

C0800 - System Voltage Low Voltage
    (03) - Not present

C1550 - Replace Electronic Control Unit (ECU)
    (37) - Not present

U2139 - Invalid Data from CIM (Steering Column Module)
    (7F) - Not present

B3078 - Anti Theft Warning System Horn Signal Circuit Low Voltage
    (02) - Not present

B3445 - Rear Left Brake Light Circuit Open
    (04) - Not present

B2585 - Front Left Parking Lamp Circuit Open
    (04) - Not present

B1325 - System Voltage Low Voltage
    (03) - Not present

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

maybe worth checking the fuel filter, heard this is a common issue on diesels.

Thanks for the replies. You are correct about the dti not having a primer. I installed one a few years back. I serviced the car 2 months back and a new fuel filter was installed then.
I have tried towing it to get it started but no joy.
I was thinking the same about the diesel pump. It's getting diesel up through the injector lines but the pressure isn't great.
I have a new crank sensor which I will fit to see if that sorts it. Want to make sure it's the pump before I pay for a referb or a new pump.

How many miles has the car done. if it done a few first check leak off pipes , if they are ok then it might be injector seals. If you want to check that the pump is working try towing the car to see it will start, if it does then it one of the firts problems.

The car has done 146,000 miles. I changed the leak off pipes after it broke down. Also tried towing it to get it going but it didn't start. I will have to take a look at the injection seals. I had been getting a P0400 code for the last year and vauxhall couldn't fix it. Is there a quick method to test the injector seals?
