I'm under the impression that on the 2.2 petrol engines the pipework comes from the front of the car, into the airbox and then doubles back on itself and heads for the front of the engine, to the throttle body. Is that correct? If so, then that item won't fit, as it looks like it connects to the back of the engine.

All you have to do is remove the piping, and re-arrange it so it fits yours. Most enclosed pods are universal, just buy some extra piping if needed and MAKE it fit. I did the same with my Apollo intake.

its just the filter in the middle you need the rest is the standard hose for the 1.8 with the plug part and stuff still on, just remove old air box from car and buy universal bends to connect it up

That's not going to work. With the CDA airbox installed and sending the air in the wrong direction there just won't enough room to also fit a big U-pipe and more ducting that doubles back along the airbox and heads towards the front of the engine.

Basically what I'm saying is... Find an enclosed filter on fleabay, pull your airbox out. Buy some piping. And do it yourself.
I'd say all you need is a 90 degree silicone bend, and MAYBE a bit of extension ducting to get the best airflow at the front of the car.
