Default new cambelt and now a screaming aux belt!

just had my cambelt, water pump and tensioners done but started the car this morning and the aux belt was screeching very loud, bit like a banged up old van does first thing in the morning. gave it a few revs and it went away.

as all the tensioners and the belt are new would this be adjusted up not quite right or will it sort its self out? cheers

    "oops wrong section"

    sorry

Its self adjusting, but they would have had to remove it to change the cambelt iirc. maybe they have not set it back up correctly?

did you have the aux tensioner done or just the timing belt tensioner

as sean said if theyve laid the tensioner on its side they may not have re primed the cylinder on the tensioner and it wont adjust properly

It's possible that with having to take the tensioner to it's full extent to get the old belt off that the spring has weakened (just down to old age).

Best to just call them and ask for their opinion
