    Default Parcel shelf storage 'bag'

has anyone seen or got one of these for the vec hatchback??

    http://www.vauxhall-accessories.com/...=3&item_id=559

Ideal for large flat items such as tennis rackets, or for storing clothes flat to prevent creasing. Fits securely under the rear parcel shelf. Hatchback models only.

looks like a better design than the 'bag' that i've seen as you can access the back with digging through everything at the back. and it would be covered by the parcel shelf when closed.

my only question is how much weight would it carry, would it buckle under the load of a few folders or something?? seems perfect for carrying all the detailing gear around and still keeping the floor of the boot clear.

and if you look closely you can also attached your vauxhall/irmscher golf umbrella - which makes me laugh, because if you have to go to the boot for the brollie, then you're going to get wet, and the stuff in the storage bag will get a soaking aswell when you open the boot!!

    Harry,

    I tried and failed......

I had my local dealer onto VX central (Technical) and they found this out. There is no such thing for a vec. The part number on the VX site refers to a bag that hangs from the parcel shelf (Drinky has one). The picture is of an item that is not available on a Vec. I have pointed out the error to the VX webmaster but nothing has changed in the last 6 months.

It may be an Astra item. Vx told me it won't fit...However It may fit with a little mod or two but don't know the part number of the pictured item.

Tell me about it.....my thoughts exactly. Found out when Andy vec got the other type in and I didn't like it. So I got a dealer to get one and it was the same as andyvecs...gutted.
