some people just havnt got the brains they were born with..
Love it, they should all be fined
I wonder if the police will get hold of the numberplates ........nice bit of videoing ...
Awesome bit of filming!
Love his attitude.
The look on that old bags face in the mini
I watched the whole lot of that! Good on him, I was stuck on the M1 north bound for 4 hours a few months back between junction 12 and 13, due to the road works there isn't a hard shoulder at the moment. But thinking about it it should be called an emergency services lane to make it more obvious to people that do jump in it at these times, America have dedicated "fire lanes" in their cities for example.
I wonder which bit of the Highway Code says you should start walking down a motorway talking to other drivers....
The exact same scenario happened to me on the M6 a couple of years ago and i police man actually came along on his bike, took every one of there number plate registrations on his recording equipment and told them to look out for a fixed penalty in the post. Some people are just ridiculous. The i dont give a dam attitude society has these days really winds me up.
Great video. I hope it gets picked up by one of the news organisations as it might just deter some drivers from doing something similar in the future.
Same as Lee I was on the M56 by junction 12 (on the bridge) a couple of years ago when exactly the same thing happened. We all came to a halt and nothing moved for 10 minutes. The hard shoulder was completely empty at that point. Then the odd car went down there before the special people began to follow. With five minutes it was completely blocked.
Then we heard the fire engines approaching. Cue the special people panicking and trying to get back into the inside lane which was clearly impossible. The firemen then appeared on foot screaming at all of us to move to the right. We did our best but even with the wing mirrors in it was no good. The special people were still half on the hard shoulder so the fire engines were stuck. One of the firemen was standing in front of my car and I heard him say on the radio there was no chance of getting to the fire (which was an overturned flat bed van complete with chemical drums all over the carriageway less than 300 metres away) because of the ****** blocking the hard shoulder.
10 minutes after that A policeman on a motorbike then arrived and somehow he managed to get the hard shoulder traffic moving. Then we began to move and were directed down the same slip road the special people had just gone down except we were kept in the right hand lane. The special people had all been held in the left lane as the police went from car to car booking every one of them.
