Signum ECU failure!
My 2.2Direct Signum is currently sitting at the dealer apparantly with an ECU failure.
The car died on the motorway with the car&spanner symbol. Turns over but rough and won't start. RAC couldn't fix so towed it. Fault codes for all 4 injectors, throttle sensor and some other stuff I can't remember.
Dealer says they clear the codes but one remains - ECU Failure.
£840+ for a new one
That's alot of money.
Anybody know of a cheaper repair/replacement option?

then get it 'married' to car... lot less than vx prices
check and clean the earth contact on it.
as Ros says ... if the ecu supply voltage is low (due to $h1tty connections) it'll throw up allsorts of ecu issues... but i'd expect other faults(sensors etc) to come up first.. but well worth checking.
Unfortunately ECU's that have not been 'un-married' from the original car when they are removed can not be used on another one.
I also phoned several ECU repair companies and they all said that the 2.2 ecu can not be repaired. A couple could supply brand new ones but at the £450+ mark and about a week to supply.

looking around fleabay you find most parts state they've been tech2'd off the original car. I'd try one before shelling out £450+.
