    Default laptop help

hi guys, my laptop is struggling to play full screen movies and games of late. Used to be fine but has started playing up real bad.

I have been looking around for some software that i can use to test each part of the laptop, can anybody recomend somthing i can use to do that?

    cheers

I would look to do some house keeping on your disk first. Defrag it, uninstall unnecessary software etc. Windows is well known for grinding to a halt over time. Doubt it'd be a hardware issue.

I use advanced systemcare, free download. Its a good housekeeping programme and works well.

Shouldn't be any need for that mate. One of my machines is a bog standard Packard Bell desktop, from 2003, with Windows XP. Never been reformatted yet, just "tidied up" every few months, runs as smooth as a machine that age does

Depends how you use your machine however Windows is notorious for not cleaning itself up properly.
