advise on parts please.

hi all i need a new starter motor so at the same time am going to change the water pump and belt. and my mechanic said it would be £350 for the parts and £105 to fit. does that sound right. but if i get the parts of ebay they come to £240 but not genuine parts. also why it Companies & Discounts section on this site private its annoying me.
