    Vehicle : Insignia Tourer

    Trim : Elite

    Engine : 2.0 CDTI (160ps)

    Year : 2010

    Default New suspension bits ordered.

Finally ordered the new suspension bits for our car (well most of them).

So far I've ordered H&R 40mm drop springs and Bilstein B8 shortened shocks from Larkspeed and new rear upper control arms and new drop links from Eurocarparts.

Still need to order new poly ARB bushes, just gotta check which size is on the car before I order them so that will have to wait until the weekend when I get chance to get under the car.

Springs should be here in a couple of days and the shocks should be here in about a week (they have to come from Germany). Can't wait to get this little lot on the car

Pics to follow once it arrives and I've fitted it all

You'll have the larger of the ARB bushes, trust me.

Yeah pretty sure of that too for the front, but there's two sizes for the front and three for the rear and I'm planning on changing all four

They will be a lot easier with the springs and shocks out of the way. how does the larkspeed deal compare with EPC

That's not what I ordered, I specifically wanted a bigger drop than the Eibachs give, after lowering my last vec by 30mm and not feeling it was low enough. Because I have an estate, the ONLY company I found that do anything more without going to coilovers was H&R which are expensive for just springs.

I paid £700 total for the H&R 40mm springs and B8's including delivery. Cheapest I found them anywhere by quite a big margin (although no doubt someone will now point out I could get them cheaper somewhere else )

Helped Plasma do them on my last car although we had the luxury of a ramp that time and it took about three quarters of an hour a side. Hopefully won't be quite so bad this time round, but yeah they're a bit of a pig to do lol.

Because the shocks wont arrive for about a week, it's probably going to be next weekend to do this little lot as I don't think they'll have arrived in time for this weekend, we'll see

Are you going to measure before and after (with time to settle)?
I did originally wanted the (alegedly) hard ride H&R springs, but the Eibach/billy combination i have ended up with is fantastic for the road but a bit soft for my extensive track time!
