    Default DIY fuel pump fitting.

Anybody fitted new fuel pump to 2.2 direct. Stealers want £648.00.

No goodwill. 77000 miles and 6 years old.

Get one for £280.00 on Ebay and ca'nt be that difficult to fit.

Do they need tech2ing after fitting?

Trade club card mate, I paid a total of £411 (fuel pump,labour,vaux-com session/1hr fault finding)
The pump is £252+vat with trade club card so (£303ish), fault finding/com was £60+vat (£72) labour to fit pump 0.5 so £29+vat (£36ish).

I tried goodwill mines late 2006, 47k miles FvSH and was only 10 days out of vx warranty, I got same answer "NO".......

I did mine last month bought of ebay. just make sure its a continental one. and took 5 mins to fit. very easy job, just remember to release pressure first. £280 for part car runs like a dream just gutted it might be gone tomorrow as somebody coming to look at buying it off me!
