Default Fuel filter housing removal - 1.9CDTi

Just wondering if someone could help me - im probably being really stupid.

Basically I'm trying to remove the fuel filter housing from the "crash box"
Haynes manual states to use a screwdriver to depress the clip from the right hand side.

Iv been trying for 15 minutes and haven't got anywhere, cant even see where I should be using the screwdriver!

    Any help appreciated!

    Thanks.

I think it's the blue clips on the fuel lines (shown in the pic in the link above) that you need the flat bladed screwdriver for. My weapon of choice was an eating knife

It's a bit fiddly the first time you do it - you need to get both of the lugs depressed in order for the pipe to pull out. Look closely at the joint and you will see that the lugs are what stop the pipe pulling out. HTH

They do pull back slightly once fitted but as long as there is no leak don't worry

And be very gentle with them as they are easily damaged
