2.0 T Service

hello everyone

car going in for service next month and I am looking at changing the brake fluid and gear box oil.

Have looked in the manual and can not see where it says how much is needed to do the job.

Could some one please let me know how much gear box oil and brake fluid is needed for the 2.0 T (Z20NET).

Should I just use the standard VX stuff from dealer, or are there better aftermarket ones I could use?

2.2-2.4 litres of oil for the gearbox. Vauxhall oil will suffice, but fully synthetic oil is available and is my preference:

For the brakes, 1 litre is enough; DOT4, or even better, DOT5.1 (not 5).

Halfords do a DOT 5.1 is that ok?
