dual mass flywheel

hi all i have got a sort of rattling sound when i put my clutch in i have a vectra cdti 150 05 plate with 35,000 on the clock the noise happens when i put the clutch in weather its in gear on neutral i have been told it might be the dual mass flywheel but with the mileage i was not sure could it be anything else less expensive ( i hope so) cheers all.

Got same problem on my Saab 9-3 sport .....its 2007 with 47k.

Sounds very much like the DMF is the car covered by the manufacturers warranty still?

dont think so derek i bought the car 12 months ago and its an 05 plate so i think it would be out of manufactures warranty.

As it goes the bill will be around £6>800.00 sadly. If the car had been under 3 years (not impossible with the low miles on her) then Vx would have had to stump up as they did on mine.

if its the dmf the noise is normaly there with the clutch out and should stop when the clutch is pressed had mine changed and they were my symprons

I have the same problem, however I am on holiday with my family in Spain (and yes with the car). Will the noise get worse, or just stay the same? or will it go in a big way? just that I have a 1500 mile drive home in a couple of weeks and I am a little worried by the noise.
