Does the 2.0T have an idle control valve I can swear that I have read somewhere that they don't

not as far as i know mate...
I believe it uses the same principle as the 2.2 in that there should be a tiny gap around the butterfly to control idle.
Can anyone show me a pic where the throttle body is and where I can find this butterfly valve please
lumpy tickover?
the big rubber hose that goes up the front of your engine and then connects to the block just above the dipstick, that part it connects to is the throttle body and inside that is the butterfly valve..
see pic here in post 2 http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showthread.php?t=101304
I wouldn't call it bad lumpy tickover it wouldn't stall but not as smooth as I'd like I was thinking of cleaning it
Sounds about right mate, I'd say a dirty TB is what your looking at.
Off it will come then cheers guys
