    Default most powerful cdti

Speaking to a friend today and he has spent a fortune on his 150 cdti, and he says it has achieved 240hp, with a hybrid turbo, remap etc

apart from standard, what power have you all got from your cdti's? and what have you had done

Nutrons pushed 250+ with all you mentioned plus methanol injection. Tbh that's really the limits of this engine.

my m8 said about 240ish is the limits for standard internals. I cant imagine what his car must pull like as my standard 150 puts a smile on my face sometimes

You won't get 240bhp from a 1.9 CDTi with map, hybrid turbo - Fact.

Many have tried and failed to get past a realistic 210bhp. Nutron did indeed get 250bhp, but it smoked more than a dirty double decker bus, and he ended up melting the pistons.

I went in Nutrons car in Germany, and to be honest it was not that much quicker than a re-mapped 1.9 CDTi.

My slant on this is that the engine can push 240>250HP for a period of time but the DMF can't take 150 for much more than 30K miles so I'd be on the sceptical side of the coin for longevity,,,,
