    rolleyes CDTI 120Non Start

Bought a 2006 signum with a blown engine, fitted a used replacement from a car of same age ,all loom and wiring appeared same and connected but will not start ,when ign on fuel pump relay clicks on and pump only runs for a couple of secs before cutting out,can anyone give me some help as to where to look .i suspect a sensor is telling pump line is pressurised when it isnt ?is this a sensor in the tank pump or one of the two on the fuel rail ?
any help much appreciated.i have been told that the high pressure pump is not coded to the ECU on these engines is this correct ?

To update this i have been looking at the old and new engine and find that the fuel rail on the new one doesnt use a fuel pressure regulator only a sensor ,am going to swap them over and see if this cures it.

Swapped the rail and regulator and after bleeding out ran lovely so pump and inj dont appear to be coded to ecu.

think the injector coding is to do with the flow/volume rather than an imobiliser
