    Default CD70 disc

I want to update my CD70 as it has a 2005 disc in it. I've heard that the later disc don't have post code entry,is this true and if so how do you find addresses? Would it be worth upgrading?

ive upgraded the firmware to latest one from vx cost around £6 for disk and got updated maps i think their 2009 2010 maps from a friend
and i find places with postcode but its only a 4 or 5 digit postcode after you start putting postcode in it comes up with possable address
also i noticed when i put the new maps disk in as i was driving down motorway it was detecting hold up trafic jams and rerouting me

As far as I am aware the CD70 Navi system does partial postcode entry regardless of the mapping disc year.

Rather than the format AB10 1BA that a standalone satnav will do, the CD70 Navi allows you to enter the format AB10 1 in place of the town, so you won't be able to go down to the typical 6 houses a full postcode will give you, but you'll get pretty close on the right street.

Thanks for the input there guys, my 2005 disc informs me about traffic hold ups but doesn't re-route me. It also only takes part post codes but I've been told that the later discs don't have postcode entry, hope that's not true
