    Vehicle : Astra GTC VXR

    Trim : VXR

    Engine : 2.0t

    Year : 2013

Default Car dealers take the mick.

With the price of fuel going up and the more driving i'm doing now to get to and from work i have been toying with the idea of selling the GSi.
Been looking at mk4 Astra convertables as i've always fancied a soft top and found quite a nice low mileage 03 plate Turbo version for just under £3k.
Went to go have a look at it today and did seem clean enough so i asked if they could do anything with my Veccie, the guy said yes and pulled out his trade book then turned round and said he would only give me £1500.
To say the least i felt really insulted and walked straight away so it looks like for the future i'll stick with the Veccie.

Know that feeling. Been looking around for a 3.0 diesel to get rid of my old 2.2. Local car garage would give me £1200 to part ex or to just take it off me, £800.

I know exactly how you feel mate. I was considering tradeing mine in for a cheaper run about. When i checked the trade in price i was disappointed so i've decided to keep it for another couple of years.

Just don't look at what they will sell it for. I px'd my subaru legacy 3.0 spec b Rn and got £4750, found it on the forecourt of a subaru dealer 100 miles away for £8495

I tried with mine, no one wants big engined cars. Well a few do, but they are hard to find.

Posted about this the other day before it was removed by a mod, asking why a PXing a Vectra is worth nothing and well under the book "PX" price!

So I'm also gonna keep the Vec and add some XP kit to it to make me fall in love with it

I had a car trader refuse to px mine (3.2). He said its a stupid size engine and nobody would ever want to buy such a car!

I gave him a few 'polite' words and walked away!

I like big engine cars, tied to the 1.9 for another 3 years though.
