Thought I'd start this thread, as suggested by another member, as I've had a poor experience from a few tyre shops.

There's good and bad in most garages i don't see the point of naming and shaming to be honest.
...and which to avoid
hes saying it depends who you get in each garage, ie theres good people AND bad people in the same garage...
Plasma's Tech2 services are now open and able to provide services
A location would be better rather than just a branch name.
But if you go to a good garage , 99% your gonna get served by a good bloke
It's not so much the garage, but the people who work there.
Recently took mine to have new tyres fitted and had to return 3 times to have them rebalanced.
Depending on who was available at the time, one fitter was careful and didn't go anywhere near my locking bolts with a windy gun, another fitter used the windy gun like Arnie did in Terminator, and also just slapped the weights any old way on the tyre, and on the third revisit it was somewhere in between the other two.
A lot of it is down to training, or a lack of it in some cases.
Exactly my point. Three branches of Kwik Fit tried to hunter-align my car, and they all failed, so they in my opinion are a Bad Tyre Dealer. However, on recommendation, a trip to a different dealer, I was treated courteously and with respect by all the staff, kept me informed of progress, offered me a coffee, car was ready when they said, and the job was done perfect. So Kwik Fit will not get my business any more, where as the other dealer will
My point for this thread was, if you've had a bad experience with a tyre dealer, let other members know here
Big Dave ......... If I were you, I'd not return there for future work!
I wouldn't let kwick fit anywhere near my bike tyres never mind my car tyres!
