Question Red-Ex and other similar products

    Hey Guys,
I'm about to go on a really long motorway journey and was just wondering what you guys add into your fuel tank or do to your car before hand?

My car is a 1.8 VVT Facelift - 2008 plate with 22,000 miles

I've heard that Red-Ex apparently cleans all of your injectors and stuff and the best time to use it is before a long run?

Or you could just use a premium fuel which has all the premium additives in it a good one is tesco momentum99 which is cheaper and better than v-power.

That's true, It costs me about £70 to fill my car at the minute so I'd hate to think how much it would cost to fill it with the V-Power stuff

dont do what i did 2 week ago and go and fill up late at night when your half a sleep and instead of buying redex fuel cleaner i bought lead replacment instaead and then only noticed once i put it in a hour of bricking myself untill i got answers from off here anyway didnt do any harm to the car

i stay away from supermarket fuel seem to get less to the gallon with it
i bought some proper redex did half on way their and the other half way back no difference in car so suppose i wasted £5.99 will never know

Probably less than the cost of the additive. Its worth working out how much extra it will cost and go from there.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

V power all the way for me and collect the points with a v power club card and get double points. So I get a voucher for about a £10 er every 3 months and get the benefit of 45p per mile back as I use it for business. Like to think my v power costs me about 1.15 a ltr with the perks lol.

You get vouchers with V power club card? No wonder Wendy always offers to take the money, go pay - and put the points on her card......

I worked out to add the v power diesel on a full tank would cost at extra £4.40, not to bad but not something i will do all the time maybe once a month on payday.

    55 litres
    Standard diesel at £1.409 = 77.50
    v-power diesel at £1.489 = £81.90
