Hunter Alignment

Hey all

A few of you may have noticed from a couple of posts that my back end has been a bit "loose", and the rear tyres were almost bald on the inner edges. Put new banana arms and rear springs on, but the car still felt loose at the back, more so on smooth roads.

Took the car for a full alignment on the Hunter machine this afternoon. Front and rear toe was out, and the camber on both rears was out. Not to mention the steering wheel was about 10 degrees off centre.

I left an hour later, and £100 lighter But the car has been totally transformed. It drives straight, the steering wheel is straight, and the car feels solid too.

Kwik Fit have had two goes at getting it right, and each time they failed to provide a print out........

This hunter 4 wheel alignment is rapidly becoming a major money spinner for the likes of some of these so called tyre specialists earlier this year i had Merit tyres try to charge £147 to re-allign 3! tyres i took the siggy away from them again and then took the matter further by phoning there head office , but i got the impression at the end that it was a case of oh well we got caught this time but we are not worried
Maybe its time to start a good tyre co /bad tyre co list

1 merit tyre,s woking , dont touch them ,dont even think about it

I got mine done after i lowered the car for the same price, its alot better and good for peace of mind to know that your not doing in the tyre edges

I got mine done the other week from http://www.discount-tyres.co.uk/services.html with full print out for the grand sum of £50 they wanted to charge me VAT but i got away without paying that part
