have you checked the connector plugs are correctly fitted to the plugs in the middle of the hubs? I imagine you have but just in case...

yes speedo runs off the front wheels on a vectra mate, just about always the drive wheels on car.

I did a rear hub on Lizard's car about a month back, i thought they only clipped on one way, isn't there a sliding plastic lock thing on the plugs that secure them to the connections on the hub. We did not have to disconnect the battery when we did this job.

if you can do the old paperclip test and read off the codes it should hopefully point out whether you issue is front or rear.. If the rear hubs have dodgy abs sensors in them then they will screw up the abs system until sorted.

To see whether it is your new rear hubs I would disconnect your battery and then jack up the rear of the car, disconnect the plugs from the new hubs and get the old hubs out and rest them on something so that you can reconnect to them. Reconnect your battery and see if you problem is still there. If the abs lights are sorted then it indicates a crap product that needs to be refunded.

Let us know how you get on..

Caveman..why dya think the speedo stopped working, then worked again once id put plugs back on the rire way round??

Both the plugs did have blue clips but have now disappeared...I ended up having to use the flat head of a screwdriver to push the plugs into place..the rubber seal inside was that tight, tbh i dont see how they cuda worked loose.

dunno mate, was sure it was the front, buy could be wrong. was going by what a guy at a rolling road told me, I had asked him the same question... seems thats another one whoes knowledge i will take with a pinch of salt.. He must have meant the other way round or i misheard as you do not want your speed showing how much you are wheel spinning.. so ignore my woefully incorrect statement on that.

I was not aware your speedo was working again now though.. so you just have abs light on now then.. I think you wrote post 7 while i was responding with one hand while feeding my daughter with the other...

your getting there, well done, maybe try a battery disconnect for 15 mins... were the hubs from VX? Are they the same part for all the models?
