Default Got brave and used the DA on my Signum

After Bob and Khalid had done a great job of spending a day correcting my car (It was REALLY bad) a ew months ago and me having a play I bought a DAS6-Pro and practised on a scrap panel.

Well yesterday I got brave and had a go on my Signum.

It was stupidly hot yesterday so not an ideal day to do it.

The nearside rear quarter, nearside rear door and boot panel were the worst so set at doing them.

Bob and Khalid did a great job and corrected a good 75% of the swirls that were all over the car.

Yesterday I had some spare time and spent a good 5 hours just doing the 3 areas.

I managed to remove most of the remaining marks but there are a few deeper ones and with more practice they would also probably be removed.

Also did the rear lights and they look 100 times better, look new now

Anyway here are a few pictures (First 2 show what Bob and Khalid started with):

    None lol.

Thats why I started on the boot panel as if that went wrong it would be an easy panel to paint

Still learning on what to use etc so its going to take me a while to get it all 100% (Well its never going to be 100% without a respray) but its getting better

It used to depress me everytime I saw it in direct sunlight before Bob and Khalid worked their magic, that then spurred me on to spend some time and money on it.

Good job, now you've started you'll be wanting to do more and more. The bug bites hard.
I had no scrap panel, so had to practise on car, but Messsy had shown me how it's done before I even bought the DA. I use mine for polishing, put the wax/sealant on by hand.

Bob you and Khalid had your work cut out the first time which is why I showed what it came from to what it is now.

Without you two it would have probably stayed standard and just ended up a 'normal' runaround.

Ben Saturn blue looks great in the sun, Sometimes it looks black, other times dark blue and then other times purple lol.

Grumpy I am going to also try wet sanding on my scrap panel. I now have 2 large boxes of deataiing/cleaning stuff. One box is the paint correcting stuff and the other just normal washing/polishing etc stuff.
