Default dilema - upgrade existing car or sell and buy a newer one

    right i have a dilema

i have the 3.0 siggy at the moment , its just clicked over to 97000 miles
i have spent quite a bit of money on the car latelydoing
    timing belt and tensioner
    aux belt and tensioner
    cv gaitors
    service
    brake fluid change
    gearbox oil change
    18" irmscher stilas
    full heated leather

now the car went through the mot last month with 3 advisorys that were
2 tyres near limit on one edge
    rear exhaust boxes deteriorating

the car runs fine and ,touch wood , has no problems with it

is it better the devil you know or is it it time to move the car on

if i keep it i want to spend a bit of money on it to get it looking 100%
    including
rear irmscher quads and bumper insert
    front bumper splitter
    all car park dings removed
small amount of paint on bottom of door

obviously having trouble sourceing the rear quads as they are like rocking horse poo to get both sides , i can get one side ( near side ) off ebay but never seem to get the off side ones coming up

    so the question is

spend the money or sell and get a newer one????

I would keep what you have and do what you have planned.

If you buy a newer one in 6 months time you will want to do thse bits to the new one anyway.

you could get a newer one and as u said it would cost you more to purchase a newer one but then you would be back to square one with a totally standerd motor!! which is then gonna cost loads more to modify, but then again if you plough more money into your present car u will never get it back at sale time so it is a big dilema
