    confused Remaps and DPF removal?

    Hi all
Iam going to get a remap for my car in about a months time. I have narrowed it down to 3 places and have read loads of old threads on here, but i have a few questions and just wondered what peoples thoughts were?
    The three companys are:-

Chiptuners in Ipswich who have quoted me £250 for remap with EGR bypass, NO rolling road (this is closest to me)

TorquingBHP in Cambridge, I have emailed but had no response but i think there prices are £350.00 with rolling road

Masperformance in Lincolnshire, they have quoted £220.00 with DPF and EGR and rolling Road
or £300 with physical removal of DPF

I think option 3 looks good although its further you seem to get alot for your money and all threads ive read gives excellent reviews.

so which one would you go for and is it best to have the DPF physically removed and is there any pro's/con's to pysical removement of DPF or is there no point if its bypassed anyway(or whatever they do for the £220.00 option?

MAS have good reviews on here.

You HAVE to have the DPF physically removed or its' guts bashed out if you remove it from the ECU. It is a soot filter that relies on 'regeneration cycles' i.e. cleaning. No cleaning: you might as well shove a spud up your exhaust. Eventually the car will just stop.

You might want to bear in mind how the 2012 MOT standards might affect you... there are open threads about this... Maybe a 'gut it and make it look original' approach might be the best way???

It would be a good way of comparing the car though mate, a 220 mile run as a std 150 and then the reverse 220 mile run with the map and print outs.
I know which I would do.
