    Default Brakes squealing

Hi boys looking for some help if possible as this problem is driving me mad it's drawing the wrong kind of attention to the car and it's also doing my head in. Anyway I've had squealing brakes for the last 2-3 months I've changed the front pads a few weeks ago even though they were like new but we found they had cracks in them I'm assuming it's because I used truck wash on them big mistake I no. i no longer use it but my mate also noticed that the calliper carrier had no thread left for the slider and was moving around so assumed this was why it was squealing. Anyway replaced that yesterday and its still squealing also just changed the backs incase it was them these again like new they never had cracks but I'm still getting the noise it only starts after around 5-10 mins once warmed up. Even the discs are only a few months old ? Should i also change these ? The noise sounds like it's the fronts but what else could it be ? Sorry for the long post but I really need this problem sorted

Also the pads and discs are vauxhall

There's a small heat/dust shield behind the front discs about an inch and a half square. Very common for this to get too close to the disc and cause squealing. Bend it out of the way slightly and it should sort it out (if it's that). It's a very common thing on the Vec.

Edit: nicked a pic of it from a post Nige made some time back...

Thanks for that mate just been out to have a little look I'm pushing as hard as I can but both sideds seem to spring back to the same position ??? I also noticed that the driver side shield was rusty e.t.c but passenger side looks in really good condition ?

You only need to move them two or three mm anyway so if you've pushed at them you might find thats sorted it, take it for a spin, does it still squeal?
