Default House move complete and a huge thankyou...

Well, we picked the keys up to our new house on Friday and started to move in on Saturday. I did a couple of full loads in my estate on Saturday and managed to shift quite a bit of stuff and we slept in our new house Saturday and Sunday night.

We're sleeping on an air bed as we're waiting for our new bed to arrive and we're sitting on camp chairs in the living room as we haven't yet ordered new sofas (our old house was a fully furnished rental so we don't really own any furniture).

The new house is a three bedroom semi and easily twice the size of our old place, we have a huge garden (BBQ meetups coming up in the future ) and best of all I have a garage right by my front door to park my car in woo

However, the main reason for this post is purely to give a HUGE thankyou out to Bob and Dean (Bobssignum and Plasma) who met us at our old house early this morning and between the two estate cars (mine and Deans) and a signum (Bobs) we've done two runs and managed to entirely empty the old house including the shed apart from our bikes and a computer chair which I'll pick up later in the week. It's a good two hour round trip from the old house in Stevenage to the new one in Witchford and back again and these guys didn't think twice about phoning up and offering to help out and have both worked their backsides off lugging a lot of heavy stuff around and doing two full round trips, all three of us are completely knackered having driven hundreds of miles and fully loading three estate cars from top to bottom and side to side with a lot of heavy gear but without their help we simply wouldn't have got this done.

Bob's staying the night here as he's too knackered to drive and is drinking my beer for me lol, Dean just left after an Amy home cooked dinner.

Thankyou guys from the bottom of our hearts, we physically wouldn't have managed this without you. This forum really is the best, I can honestly say I know no where else like it, yeah we've done our share of helping people out too, but you don't do it to get stuff back and for Justin (whiskyno7), Martin (Penfold101) and Dave (Davedrinks) to come round last week and help re-paint half the old house and then Dean and Bob to help us move this week just says it all about the "family" we have here. Thankyou guys, all of you and all of you know you only have to shout if you need anything we can do to help and we'll be there if we can.

Wendy and I having had to move a 3 bed house crammed with 11 years accumulated stuff on our own with a 740 Volvo estate and a Mitsu MPV I can well understand the effort you've all been to over the weekend. Hope the two of you enjoy your new home, and your intrepid helpers have a good rest.

Heh, we're still sitting on camp chairs and sleeping on a blow up mattress (new leather sofas arriving tomorrow hopefully and bed and mattress arriving in the next 2/3 weeks) and we're still surrounded by loads of boxes and all sorts of junk from the old house, but yeah, we're in and slowly getting sorted out and unpacking stuff.

Good it's all been done. Shows the level of help on here, with cars or anything else for that matter.
