    Default 2.2se Lambda sensor help

    Hi
Just about to fit a cat back exhaust from a 04 2.2 direct on to a 2.2 non direct, just has a quick under the car and the Lambda sensor is on top of the exhaust man, but on the new pipe it’s on the centre section, Do they have two one before and after the cat? If not then I will just blank it off.

    Thanks

I think both have 2 mate, one before and one after. I put a 2.0T system on my 2.2 SE. All I did was cut it just before the Y and boot side of fuel tank and clamped the larger pipe over my stock SE pipe.

LOL yea know what you mean, its because the direct has 2 rear boxes to do the work. the 2.0T has no centre box, its straight through. I've kept my 3 foot middle box and now have the 2 rear boxes, from the rear the car is silent.

I've still got an Irmscher Y section and Irmy Quads to bolt on in the cellar. Things dont happen very fast in our house, its not a case of Rush by name.......

Lol,you don’t think it will be too noisy do you with the direct mid section? If so I will keep my original box.

No mate, it will be the same as a Direct, as said the only reason the direct has a smaller middle box is because it has two rear boxes to silence the same flow of gas. So double the silencing.
