I've just ordered a vec 1.9 which i hope to pick up on Tuesday(depending on private plate being swapped over) and after hearing all the good reports about them i''m going to see Andrew at DTUK on Saturday to pick one up.

Anyone know if a induction kit of a 2.5 vec b will fit a 1.9 CDTi

I would not get a DTUK box presonally, there are better boxes on the market now.

would not even consider using an induction kit, they suck in too much air and although they may sound good, they offer no realistic power upgrades due to the warm air being sucked in.

Well I have a CR2 and a Tunit box and box which I used before getting remaped and after.

The CR2 was the better of the two but wasn't as good as the CR1. That's why they only list the CR1 as giving at least 185bhp and not the CR2.

The tunit can be tuned while the car is running to give better results though. I never managed to get that done because of companeys (REGAL!!!) screwing up.

There are boxes on the market now that are much more tunable, allowing you to up the fueling in some areas without increasing it else where. The PSI box which plugs into the injectors to change the timing rather than the pressure. This would be far better for the life of the car.

I've spoken to said about their PSI box and am waiting for them to get back and tell me just how adjustable it is.

The Box I have is the CRD2 which I think is different from a CR2. I has 4 different maps, each with 7 power settings, so 28 differet set ups to choose from.

I have been very pleased with it. On the V6 it produces 220 bhp & 450 NM
