Talking Front end now complete : Well for at least 5 mins anyhow

I bought my car in May 2010.

I was quite happy to keep it as standard until I found Vectra-C.com

So over the last year or so I have been making small mods to the front to get it as I wanted it. That was only after seeing many members cars on here, which gave me many idea's.

This was the car standard 2 days after I got her with a double wash + polish.

I then found the forum and a few posts about Signum Fogs. Hmmm got me thinking.

After a few days of waiting, the sig fogs arrived, so It was weekend front bumper off time with alot of help from the HOW TO here. Vectra-C.com strikes again.

I really liked the change but I still was not totaly happy.

Next up was removing the front V for colour coding. Soon after I bought a set of eyebrows from a memebr here. I never knew such things existed before hand. That would be the influence of Vectra-C.com again

Sanded them down to black plastic and trial fitted them. Hmmmmm.

Finished the Front V last week with a bit of help and glued on the eyebows (painted by yours truley) today (Clear Silicone Sealent)

I have also added T10 501 SMD 8 LED for Sidelights, Osram Nightbreakers 2 for dipped beam (yeah I know HIDS would be better) Main Beam unchanged as they seem to be very bright as they are and HID look alike Fog H3's from Hids-Direct.

Only took a year or so lol, but overall im very happy with it.

Other mods or additons have been :-

Ali Door pins (Rears cut down with a dremel as they sat too high) From a HOW TO here. That will be Vectra-C.com again
    Richbrook (tyre) Valve covers.
SRi Door sill Covers front and back.
SMD 8 LED x2 for interior light.
SMD 8 LED x2 for rear number plate.
Vauxhall Metal Tax Disk Holder (Black)
Replaced around 17 orange Dash and Door switch 3mm LED's for Blue LED's. That mod is ongoing. Will take a while to complete.
Chrome indicator bulbs back and front.
    Replaced tyres for 225/45/17

Next mod when money allows is to lower it.

Thanks goes to this forum and members as you have found me a new and very enjoyable hobby

Dispite what you may have read here it's really easy. Just takes a little patience.

Make sure you have about 12-14 flat head screwdriver bits to wedge under each clip.

Once thats done just ease it out. You won't break any clips, but it does mean you have to remove the front bumper first to get to the back of the V.

    Hope that helps

yea took the bumper off the other day just to have a look and that was reasonably simple. so all i need to do is wedge behind each clip and ease the grill out? that doesnt sound too bad like

Tooth-picks do a good job too. I am going to do mine the same colour as the car.

Yours looks excellent, great job so far...

Thanks very much for kind comments all.

Had a few vecs and corsa's doing a double take in their rear view mirror whilst crawling on the M25 this week. Made the journey that bit nicer.

Tooth picks would work well too. Now why didn,t I think of that
