    Default 2 stroke oil - 1.9 CDTi 150

Well I've just put 200ml of 2 stroke oil in my Siggy.
Read so many threads saying do and don't, so will try for myself.

Car has just had a service, so I will also check on the condition of the oil.

The tso is JASO FB low ash, so shouldn't mess with the dpf.

Anyone else put tso in a 1.9 150?

    BTW mines a 2006

Should be fine. Such a low concentration won't thicken the diesel any more than it being a rather cold winters day. Should actually burn a bit cleaner which will help the DPF too. Mine's a DTi so can't comment on the CDTi's but hope you see a change!

Use it all the time, have done for the last six months with no problems.Engine seems to run smoother and I never have a smoke issue, even under hard acceleration.FELIXX.

I've only driven it once since adding tso. And that was just to get fuel. So not seen any difference yet.

As I mentioned, mines a 2006 Siggy, so not sure if I've got the teflon coated pump etc now the sulphur content is reduced in diesel.

Will also monitor if the DPF needs regening more often or not. I suspect it should be less, but will report my findings.

I have being doing this for past 2 months and have found the engine alot smoother and alittle quieter, also it has stoped smoking from cold and under acceleration. also i have seen my mpg go up a very little about 1/2 mpg

I've now done 150 miles with tso. Can't say I've noticed any difference.
    MPG still the same.
Performance wise, slightly better (placebo maybe), but just had a service and a squirt of carb cleaner into the throttle body.
No change to smoke though as I've got the dreaded DPF.

I'll carry on trying this, at least until I've used the litre I bought! Maybe I'll notice the difference if I stop using it!

I tried it in mine, too. I got 10 mpg extra, the gear change was better, and the car was much faster, and also rode the bumps better. Can't think why Shell, BP or whoever never caught on to this little trick?

I had read on a motorcycle forum that it can gum up the piston rings if it's used in anything other than a frequently rebuilt 2 stroke engine. So the guys with four stroke motorcycles don't touch it.
