Default Where is the factory fit GPS antenna?

    Hi all,
Tried searching but couldn't find anything. So my question is, where is the factory fit sat nav aerial? My CD70 (when using the nav) has suddenly stopped working, saying no GPS signal.

    Cheers.

I'm sure it's built in to the aerial base. To access it to check the connection you'll have to drop the roof lining- pull back door and boot seals, remove c pillar trims, there are 3 strong velcro pads along the top of the boot. Have you checked the connection on the back me the stereo?

    Beaten to it .

Thought as much...Not an easy job then I'll have a look tomorrow. Have had the CD70 out and that looks OK wrt the connectors.
    Thanks for your comments though.

Cheers Bigmac. I disconnected the battery last night before i went to bed and reconnected this morning and then reset the windows... The car thought i was in the middle of the north sea at first but then zoomed to where i live! Job sorted. No need to dismantle the car - thank god! Puzzled as to why it went ga ga though

Hi, I don't suppose you've got any pics of where in the drivers footwell this is as my CD70 has stated doing the same. Worked great and went wonky after a flat battery and now thinks it's in the Irish sea!

Sorry no pictures, it’s been a long time since I did it lol Someone else might be able to tell you precisely where to look.

Thanks, it was worth asking. I'll disconnect the battery again to see if resets itself.
