Just fitted tuning box and when I started the car it idled at 1200 rpm and stayed there. No response from the accelerator, just a constant 1200 rpm.
Any ideas

I do not know much about tunning box,s but some one will be along to help.... But have you tried removing the box and see if the car tick,s over at the normal rate without the box on. it would then point to the box, but why I don,t know...
I'm no box expert either, it would probably help if you said what engine etc ???
I have heard on the CDTi's it is very important to get the correct plug under the bonnet, because if you don't you can cause some damage to the cars ECU !
As Ed asked, does it run normal if you unplug the box ?
My car is a 1.9 CDTi 150.
The car runs normal again once I removed the box.
I have seen a thread on here somewhere, were the same problem occurred.
EG Constant RPM @ about 1200 rpm when fitting a tuning box, but can I find it to see the outcome, can I heck as like.
Found the thread and the constant rpm was due to the unit being plugged in the wrong way round.
On the unit I have the plugs only fit one way and cannot be put in the wrong way.
Still puzzled
Try bridging the connections with clips and wires to see if it works the other way around (both ends, one the the other then both). They may have wired it wrong, if not better get in touch with the suppliers.
if you put a tuning box on back to front ,does that mean you go faster in reverse?
you have fitted it the wrong way around. it WILL plug in both ways. turn ONE of the plugs around and it will be ok but you might have the spanner light on the dash for a few seconds when you start up. I've done it a couple of times
I will try that and see how it goes.
Thanks
