    Default 3.2 Advice needed

Hi guys, id just like to pick your brains please.

Since a couple of days ago i have had a little niggle on the GSI, after giving her a little bit of stick i have noticed she has become a little hesitant as you put your foot down also there seems to be a slight lack of power along with some vibration from up front.

Having read through the previous posts it seems this could be the timing belts way of telling me to get a new one, does this sound about right to anyone? and if so how much and how hard is it to do as a job?

    Many thanks in advance, Lee.

Oh and there isnt anyone from the Salisbury area that could help me do the job is there?

not a timing belt issue.. sounds more fueling/ignition related...had any cheap fuel?...when were air/fuel filter done last?.... I'd try some decent petrol and bottle of redex first...as for your timing belt, change every 40-50k.. cost me £350 at vx a couple of years ago. belt kit around £100 I think.. not a job to do yourself unless 100% confident and have correct tools/proceedure.

my air filter was done not so long ago however my fuel filter was a little while before that so im gonna try that first i think and do the plugs again too just to double check.

The belt is about ready to be done though i think.

oh and to ****** top it all off someone ran me off the road to day and it was either a crash or a badly kerbed brand new 18" alloy so i took the latter and really not happy.

if youve already done them the plugs should be ok... but could whip them out to check colour... will indicate any fueling issues(should be nice tan colour.. google to compare)... maybe something simple like coil pack not seated.
