Default starter issues on signum turbo

Hi folks,on my signum Z20let i got another odd one that i cannot for the life of me sort out.
So fitted a new starter to the motor, because when you flicked the key with the old one it just kept cranking over.
Now the starter does not turn at all and it is all powered up and ready. But at least it doesn't keep engaging.
Could this possibly be down to the ignition housing where you put the key in being burnt or damaged.
    Cheers in advance.

first of as said it the battery ok try it with a jump start or a known good battery if its still doing the same is it just making a clicking sound? is the engine turning over by hand ie engine off keys out and uses a ring spanner on the crank and make sure its turning over ok if so pull the starter out and use jump leads to test it from a battery not connected to the car to make sure the solenoid is not stuck and the plunger cog is throwing the way it should if it is is it the same as the 1 that was in the car? if so make sure the power is ok to the wires at the starter and it has a good earth

Did you buy a new starter motor for a z20let? Your engine is a z20net and quite different.

The battery is fine. And it is the right starter for the motor.
The problem seems to be that when you turn the ignition on to poisition 2 you hear everything power up and the throttle body and fuel rail fueling up. But when you go for the flick to position 3 there is no kick in from the starter, But you do hear the starter relay inside the car behind the glove box click, So i pressume that is switching power as it should. But you can get the motor to start buy using a power probe and manually hotwiring the starter with the ignition at position 2. When you do this the car runs as sweet as a nut. Now i'm starting to think that it could be the ECM or goosed relays.
Does any body now if this is possible.

    Default signum turbo issues

I have tried replacing all of the relays and the fuses are fine.hhmmmm Getting ratty with it now.
I think i am gonna go down the route of fitting a starter button since the car starts fine when you fire power in to the solenoid with a power probe with the ignition in position 2 and it seams to run fine.
    What do you guy's think?
    cheers sandy.
