Signum boot light - how to, where to?

Anyone wised up on this - I mean a light operated by opening the boot, presumably with a pinswitch. Where should I fit the switch, and is there a default location for the light, i.e. wiring already in place but hidden?
I'm assuming that otherwise I can take a live lead from the fuse box in the LH side.

Anyone got a Siggy with one already in?

There should be 2 already in the boot one each side, just under where the cover pulls over.

Definitely should be, mines is an 06 Elite too and it definitely has 2. I'll get some pics for you later. I'm guessing yours is a facelift?

I don't think there is a pin switch as such, I believe it's controlled electronically so the system know when the boot is open and switches on the lights. I have a wiring diagram here so let me just check for you.

Uses the same feed as the courtesy lights and interior lights I think, so should come on when you unlock the car...

Yip, just checked the circuit diagram. It gets activated by the body control module which gets a signal from the boot locking mechanism. Bulbs should have 2 wires brown/white & red going up to the light assembly which sits under the the plastic shroud where the cover pulls over.

mine has the 2 lights ..

Mine's got 3 - the third one being on the tailgate near the latch, half of it gives white light and half gives red.

To the OP - are you sure you've got a Signum and not a Vectra? You need to check them from the back, not the front.

I do know my car! Checked again yesterday, absolutely nothing in the boot - how weired is this - should I complain to VX?
