Default Did Vauxhall ever fix the swirl flaps issue?

I've been reading thread after thread going back over 3 years about the issues with swirl flaps knackering up, leading to expensive inlet manifold repairs but haven't seen anything about vauxhall addressing this issue with a redesign. If there was a redesigned manifold that stopped the swirl flaps/bar going wrong, at what point were new vectra's factory fitted with the updated manifold, swirl flaps & bar?

07 onwards came form the factory with the uprated manifold, but some of these have seen problems too so it's not just the original ones that are prone to failure.

To sort this issue, I had my EGR blanked and mapped out, then replaced the inlet manifold with a brand new shiny one. The old one wasn't broken, but to give it a decent clean you have to take it out and by that point you're as well replacing it anyway...

Not a difficult job, just time consuming and a bit fiddly at times...

Cheers, so 57 plate will be fitted with the uprated manifold and so in theory should be ok?

As far as I know my car's in a scrap yard in Wootton at the moment. lol

Put a deposit on a 57 cdti 150 at Evans Halshaw last week but haven't seen it yet as its at their Stoke-on-Trent dealership. Theyre transporting it up to York this week for me.

I was told 57 plate onwards had all the latest hardware and software updates. Had no probs with my 08, but I almost always drive it far enough to fully warm up.
