Spanner Light Question

Hi All

Very recently the spanner light has appeared when i first get into the car and put the key in the ignition.

However when the car is started and running the light dis-appears and never re-appears again unless i re-enter the car and put the key in the igniture.

Does this mean i have a fault? The car drives perfectly and was only serviced by vauxhall 6 months ago, less then 2000 miles ago.

Any guidance please

its a 2002 GSI, 3.2 V6

If the spanner light goes out when u start the engine then the ecu has stored a fault if the spanner light is on all the time the u have a live fault either way best to get the codes read to see what the light is for

is there a way to find the code out without a reader? or is it a dealer jobby?

Cheers for that, i'll give it a go and see what code i get - so i guess the next question is how do you interpret codes?

Hiya mate yes it has bein lol very diffrent since we last met up how's ya gsi apart from the stored fault lol
