Default Spoiler & rear parking sensors fitted.

I had my vandalism repairs sorted the other day.

And at the same time had my new spoiler fitted.

And I also got around to fitting my reverse parking sensors.

Here is the wiring behind the bumper

The wiring in the boot compartment (the control unit is hidden and only the sounder can be seen inside the compartment).

    Here are the sensors, fitted.

They took about an hour to fit, the longest part was measuring up the bumper for cutting the holes for the sensors - measure 10 times and cut once so the saying goes (or something like that)

I then ran the cables behind the bumper under the boot floor to the rubber grommet and up through the floor into the car beneath the drivers side rear light. I disconnected the multiplug for the rear lights and found the feed (white/black), stripped some insulation away and soldered the power lead live feed to that and insulated it. I ran the earth to the same earthing point Vauxhall use inside the same compartment. I tucked the control box in behind the rear boot panel & stuck the sounder to the rear panel the rear lights bolt to.

I then cut 3 holes in the boot lining (out of sight) to let the sound filter through into the cabin more easily.

They work perfectly and is something I have wanted to do since buying my Vec as the rear end is quite high and not so easy to see when parking.

Very nice mate, is that a M3 spoiler? Seems to sit the other way to Vec lip ones.

You not put your parking sensors in the right place.

There are markings on the inside of the bumper for the correct positioning.

That looks very good, althought I'd fit sensors more at the sides of rear bumper

As an non-original SRi spoiler, it's fitted correctly. We are just used to different one
