I have an issue, last night i put the car away in the garage, all was fine.
This morning i have fired the car up and have nothing on my dashboard apart from the Engine Management light.
Fixes tried so far;
Remove, clean and refit fuse 17 & 26 from the fusebox near the passenger door, also sprayed both the fuses and fuse insert (where it goes back into the fuse box) with electrical contact cleaner.
Remove, clean and refit abs blug under the bonnet
Remove, clean and refit CIM plug, under the steering wheel cowling
Remove check continuity of and refitted, all fuses in the boot, all fuses in dash near passenger door, all fuses ad relays under the bonnet.
As a matter of course removed bettery -ve lead, whilst doing all the above (about an hour), and also checked the charge (14.2-14.6v) being put back into the battery, when i restarted the car.
As a side note, i had the cc freak out on me the other week, and fixed and cleaned this with electrical contact cleaner.
Is this a sign the the actual CIM modual itself is gone? Or please tell there will be a plug somewhere else that may be loose.....
I've seen a few threads about this amd read as many as i can, but all the quick fixes seem to have failed.
Car = vec c 1.9cdti 120.
If it is the CIM, can i get a second hand one, and get it tech2'd to the car and mileage updated for the display etc.
Anyone near derby with tech2 (when i track a CIM down)or a fault code reader (if this could help with diagnosis)?
