    Surely carbon fibre film will be MORE than a can of rattle paint ??

    Not if it's prepared correctly and then lacquered ... Lots of people on here have used rattle cans for stuff including mirror caps wheels and door handles with no issues

    are the hit areas just smeared with the " bus " colours and smudged your top laquer ?

    i.e. = just top layer .

    or are the hit areas deeply scratched .

    i only ask because my jaguar ( from another car ) and isuzu trooper ( from a big tree branch ) had similar scuffs , that left colour behind on my car .

    and my valeter just used some wet fine sand paper and got rid of the whole lot and it polished out great .

    some areas are smeared and in some areas it is deep but some will just come with a bit of polishing

    Looks similar to the damage on my wife's MPV a few years back, that was done by a passing bus. Hope you got it sorted.
