Default Smell from car but clutch not slipping

Noticed a bit of a burning smell recently in car parks going up and down ramps or up a hill I get a burning smell that smells like the clutch however when I drive I can put the car in 2nd or 3rd pull away and the revs will not increase and then come back down as they would if the clutch was slipping.

The clutch still bites where it always has but the car does feel a little slower on uptake.

Its a 2.2 dti 102k am I looking at a clutch and is it worth getting the DMF done at the same time? What £ am I looking at?

Get to about 40mph, put it in 5th or 6th, rev to about 2500 and release the clutch quickly. If the revs drop straight down then all ok, if they drop slowly then clutch is on its way. Don't do this more than a couple of times or you will need a new clutch!

Started the car with the handbrake on put it into 3rd and give it a bit of gas and slowly released the clutch. Got to a point then stalled so I think its a totally different prob and maybe the brakes binding.....back to the drawing board lol
