Default Should I swap my Signum for another car?

The Signum is aging quickly. Now at 224500km (bought at 163700km last March, genuine mileage is a bit higher) it's starting to show its mileage. CV joints might need doing soon, fuel pump is probably on its last legs too. The flywheel is long overdue a replacement and so is one or more of the pulleys (aux belt)
I recently replaced the steering column which cost me 550€, I replaced the injectors 5 months ago at 600€, renewed the front wishbones, drop links, tie rods and tie rod ends, the banana like stuff at the rear...etc. It's a car I know but I'm not 100% certain it will hold until the next cambelt change.
Forgot to add, that I also replaced all the discs and pads a few months ago.

Thinking of swapping it for a Vectra Estate 3.0CDTi Elite, facelift this time, with more than half the mileage. Would have to pay a bit more...but is it worth it in your opinion?

i think as the car get older then the costs envolved to keep it running sometimes outway the cost of the vehicle.

as they say its your money but if it was me i'd probably change, i havent taken a car much past 120k miles before moving it on

So hard to decide what's the 'right' move... Nobody likes throwing good money after bad, but there's always the "if I just fix this, then I might get another year".

I don't believe there's a right answer... but might be worth considering...

Over here, the 1.9 is 'take your pick' in the adverts. Company car tax would have killed the V6, so there are only a handful for sale. As you know, the 1.9 is tuneable to at least the stock output of the V6 and should get you 10 miles further on each gallon. Issues with the 1.9 are well documented here and relatively easy to do some preventative work if you are buying a quite new car.

Personally I prefer the Signum over the Vectra estate. However if you do not need the estate space, you can get a lot of Vectra for your money. Here about £5k can get you a 2007 1.9 150 Vectra with 50,000 miles on. Looked after, there should be a good 100,000 in the car...

hmm.. you've spent a lot on it recently.
i'd keep it a bit longer to get some use out of the money that's been spent on injectors etc. with that high mileage the sale value will obviously be quite low -- i'd maybe change it in 6+ months or so.

I think it might be worth swapping. It sounds like the signum is becoming a bit of a money pit. May be worth cutting your losses and changing it IMHO
