Zafira CDTi 120 and 150 thoughts

Right.

Spent 10 mins trying to hope for the correct area to post this within guidelines. Have tried to get it right, and hope it is ok here.

My family is getting larger. Liking the Vx diesels I am faced with the first choice of being a Zafira as a replacement.

I have just gone through the inlet manifold change with the Vectra on the 150bhp engine and dont want to go through that again.

Although potentially underpowered as to the size of the vehicle, as a 120bhp may be, I may want to choose it to avoid swirl flap issues in the future.

are the engines the same in the Zafira as the Vectra?

Ie the 120bhp version not having swirl flaps, same engine as the 120 bhp 1.9 diesel in the vectra.

the 150bhp having the same engine with swirl flaps, same engine as in the 150bhp 1.9 diesel vectra.

yes pretty much the engines are the same in the vectra/zafira/astra etc
i had the 1.9cdti 150 signum and i threw a 64 pound tuning box on it and
threw it on the rollers and got 186bhp which was very surprised but had a
nice smile on my face after that i had a zaffy b 150 and i had the
sports button function which the car was very rapid,i had it on the rolling
road it pumped out 164bhp and it was standard,i even had an induction
leak somewere so would of been nice to know what it cud of been without
the leak.

after that i taken in part ex against it a 120 ps vectra sri and that was
also rapid for a 8valve although it wasnt as rapid as the 150 but you can
get a tuning box or re map which will knock it up to get more kick out of so
really id have either cuz there both rapid.
