Default Tow starting the correct way

Hi again guys. Long time no see.

Well after nearly 3 weeks away on holiday and not been driven, my beloved has drained all the diesel back to the tank and there isn't enough juice in the battery to get it going without a booster or a car to jump from. Neither of which I have so tow start it is.

Going on what others have said, and from what I remember, get it somewhere open, second gear with the clutch engaged and pull, then eventually it will cough into life? Any recommended speed to do it at?

    Cheers.

no ...... sit in car with ignition on , car in 2nd and clutch pedal held down ,

when car starts to get towed , only need to be going about 5-10 mph , lift clutch and rev at the same time then dip clutch back down

hopefully this would have started it if not just keep repeating it till it does

When you say rev, what do you mean? Let the clutch out so the engine revs up then as soon as it has, clutch down again or let it out and leave it there, then back in?

    Default

let the clutch out, & start to press the accelerator... Don't ram the towing vehicle mind, once the motor has fired up press the clutch back in & rev the engine a little
