    Default Garage/Ramp hire

Looking for some feedback about something i'm thinking of trying to set up.
Me and my wife are looking at some units to lease with the idea of renting out a ramp for private use for odd jobs and servicing. Maybe some space for detailing cars and somewhere to have meets and tech days or detailling days.
This won't be all its for but just need some feedback on the idea?

    Answers needed and feedback:

What would you realistically look to pay per hour?

What would you expect it to be equipped with?

If no could you give reasons please?

If it were up here than yes I probably would use it just for simplicity. It would make certain jobs far easier

i can't remember where but there is a company hiring ramps out ( proper four wheels above your head jobs ) already .

they have about ten ramps to each unit or warehouse ,

i think the price was £ 10 an hour per ramp ,

and i think they can hire tools to you too ,

it has been discussed on here before ,

maybe someone has the link .

good luck with the project .

If it was local, yes, I'd use it, sometimes wheel ramps and axle stands just aren't good enough access. I would expect to find a ramp or pit with power and water available.
Pay? Don't really know, maybe £10 per hour for ramp?

Plus use of tools.... yes I'd use it... To be honest, unless you're doing something major most 'ramp' jobs would be 1-2hrs max so paying 10-20 quid would be fair... If it was going to cost more than £10ph I'd be looking at booking it in at a garage.

im sure that there would be a lot of people that would use this sort of facility

the only things that i would be worried about is

1 would you need specific indemnity insurance incase one of the people hireing the ramp hurt them selves or did damage as the £10 an hour isnt gonna cover that

2 what happens when you get some muppet come in to do a job that doesnt have a clue what there doing and you end up with a car on the ramp for hours on end because they cant finish it and the car cant be moved

    just my 2 pennies worth

number 2 is quite a valid point me thinks, pleanty of folk that think they know what there doing but in truth not a scooby.

so would prob need to employ a mechanic\superviser type person to keep an eye to whats being done and to ensure health and saftey is being adheered too.

bloke comes in with his 12 year old sun letting him rip on his car with large air tools and such like age limits aswell maybe?
