    Default egr disable 2L ??

    Hi. Can anyone tell me whether it is definitely possible to blank off, disable or otherwise make inoperable the egr on my 2003 2l dti, so that the yellow spanner does not come on and the engine operate in limp mode, please ? This is intermittent but driving me nuts ..

    Why are you so sure it's the egr thats causing it? The dtis can go into limp home mode for a number of reasons

    Fairly sure ... the yellow fault indicator comes on intermittently and I can "turn it off (most times) " by accelerating and then dipping the clutch and cruising for a few seconds.
