HELP! Car wont start, Engine turns over.

I bought a towbar for my car with the wiring kit for the vectra, in fitted the towbar and electrics as per instructions exactly.

reconnected battery and proceeded to check the lights and immediately noticed the bulb management system light was on with fast flashing indicators suggesting a bulb is blown. All bulbs fine i unplugged all the towbar electrics so the car is like it should be.

No alarms or lights on the dash but when i try to start the car the starter motor turns but it wont start.

Now when i lock the car it alarms itself after only one click of the key.

Need the car for work so im kind of panicking at the moment.

disconnect battery for 30mins, then give it another try.

No luck, checked every single fuse too. I'm started to thing something much worse is broke like the ECU.

you could have effected the immobilizer messing with the wiring meaning it wont fire up.... usually diconncting the battery resets the ecu....

i used a vectra specific wiring kit for the towbar, just plugs into the fusebox in the boot and i believe this has caused the problem i have now.

Im gunna call the company tomorrow and tell them what their part has done.

I've noticed that when i turn the ignition on there is a clicking noise from the boot but no pump sound like normal.

Sounds like the wiring is wrong and the battery has drained.

Sounds like battery to me.

Try jump starting it.

Not yet , i have been working and im having to cycle 18miles to work leaving my house at 4am and 18miles back

Tow-bar wiring removed completely, battery turns engine over fine but it just wont fire up.
